Turn recording on when the session has to exist after the live minute. The file stays on the install you run.

What you get

  • An MP4 file
  • An HLS archive
  • A window viewers can rewind while the session is still live
  • Poster frames and sprite sheets, so a player can scrub without guessing a frame
Recording sits on the same pipeline as live delivery. You can record a consult, a board meeting, or a camera wall and keep the file beside the system that already holds the record.

While the stream is live

The rewind window is for people who joined late or missed a sentence. It is part of the live session. The MP4 and the HLS archive are what you keep after the session ends. Cue points and captions travel with the picture. Surface them in your player. See Process.

When the file is ready

A webhook can tell your app that the recording finished. See REST and webhooks. Hand the file out with a signed link if it should not be a public URL. See Security.
