Restream is a push of the program to another destination. Use it when Vasl is the place the contribution lands, and some other system still has to receive a copy. The restream follows the same process step as any other egress. Transmux when the destination can take the codec. Transcode when it cannot. See Process. Restream is the program leaving. It is separate from RTMP ingest and SRT ingest, which are how a source arrives.
