# NDI

> Take switchers, graphics, and cameras from the studio network.

Use NDI when the studio already moves video that way. Switchers, graphics, and cameras on the local network can reach Vasl without a capture card in the middle.

NDI stays on the studio network. Once the stream is in Vasl, deliver it with the protocol the far end needs: [WebRTC](/play/webrtc), [HLS](/play/hls), [RTSP](/play/rtsp), or a [restream](/play/restream). Transcode when that next protocol cannot take the codec. See [Process](/process).
